The Dragon Claims His Treasure by Georgette St. Clair

The Dragons of Manhattan A Paranormal Shapeshifter Romance Audiobook

I really liked this story, for the most part it was cute and lighthearted though it did of course have it's evil protagonist. It starts with a rich fire dragon shifter looking for a dragon mate to have his dragonlings. He tells the owner of a mating company his laundry list of what he's looking for exasperated she throws him out. Her mother is a wolf shifter. Her father is a dragon shifter. Her wolf has been dominant until recently. Now her dragon is awakening. She is tested for fertility and is found to be extremely fertile. In order to prevent being forced into mating a creep, Cadence is ready to run.

When she in introduced to Orion another dragon shifter, she thinks she might have a chance at happiness.

Including her father's clan auctioning her off to the highest bidder. Orion offering her protection and safety. And tons of family drama. Apr 23, Kriss rated it it was amazing.

This was really different compared to the first book in the series with Daisy and Ryker. It wasn't smooth sailing for either couple but this was different because of the whole fire and ice thing.

Not only that there is a battle of sorts between her ice dragon families and his fire families. A lot of hate not on the part of Orion and Cadence though. She didnt want a forced mating and she wanted to mate and have her dragonings on her terms. Her Received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Her father is an ice dragon but she's never met him because her mom hid her otherwise she would have been taken away from her and raised in the clan never to see her again.

He's a nasty piece of work so she's always avoided her people til now. She meets Orion thanks to Daisy's interfering self :. They really ended up liking each other but once its found out she's ice and he's fire She can't shift into her dragon which there is a reason but you gotta read and find out!

I wont give it all away! I ended up really liking the story. I would have liked more interaction between Orion and Cadence perhaps more focused them instead of everything else that was happening.

Not saying there wasn't interaction there totally was and Orion can be really sweet. I thought maybe he would include her in his daily life and what he did with his businesses that kind of thing.

Their romance was just different with all the circumstances. I totally recommend the read. Oct 05, Rachel rated it really liked it. So, I really enjoyed this, but there were a few issues that I had with it but it all revolved around the same thing: editing. This, just like the first book in the series, needed better editing. Let me elaborate: Time lapses: At one point in the book Orion and Candence were about to get it on and they went from being in the bedroom to being outside in the span of just laying down.

There wasn't really any way for the reader to know the time span of how long So, I really enjoyed this, but there were a few issues that I had with it but it all revolved around the same thing: editing. There wasn't really any way for the reader to know the time span of how long every thing took from pregnancy to egg removal to the time they hatch. Did it take months?

Fire dragon Orion Garrison is rich, eligible, and hot in more ways than one, but that hasn't been enough to find him a true life mate. And even his billions won't. Also, I don't remember there being a proposal-or was them doing the nasty the proposal? They literally went from sex to marriage. Moments were skipped and there was a lot of detail that was cut out. Editing: Just like the first book there were double words, unnecessary punctuation i. However, this one was WAY worse than the first book when it came to editing.

The first book had an extra word here and there, but this was really bad. The author really needs to have a second eye for these issues because the editing in this one was really bad. I enjoyed the overall story, and this it could have been a little better with better editing and less time lapses and lack of detail. I really did enjoy this book as a whole. I loved the story, scene setting, and the characters, it was just the background stuff that annoyed me.

Apr 21, Jessica Frances rated it it was amazing. This is book two in this new series by Georgette, however it can be read as a standalone. There are brief appearances from the first couple in the series so while it works on its own, I would suggest reading the first book anyway.

Cadence is half werewolf, half dragon.

Dating A Dragon

She never knew her father and was raised by her mother with no impact from her father or his family. Since her wolf was most dominant she was able to hide that she was half dragon, however she is changing.

Her wolf is gone and her This is book two in this new series by Georgette, however it can be read as a standalone. Her wolf is gone and her dragon side is beginning to take over. She is unable to hide it any longer and since dragon births are on the decline, she has no choice but to register and subject herself to a forced mating with a complete stranger. Some quick thinking gets them both in the same room and that is where the real fun begins. I love this world Georgette has created as well as the two sides to the dragons.

The ice dragons and the fire dragons and the war that has always been simmering between them is so interesting. Cadence is an ice dragon and Orion is a fire dragon.

They should hate each other, not be falling in love. This one had action, forbidden romance and a lot of fun moments. Apr 20, Angie rated it really liked it. Very good story, not so great editing. As with the first The Mating Game book, the story was entertaining with tons of action and humor, but the editing leaves a bit to be desired. Confused pronouns, magically going from on the bed to lying in the grass during the same scene, and mixed up names that could cause some major confusion.

But again, as I mentioned in my review of The Big Bad Wolf, all of these editing issues were not enough to cause me to stop reading or to distract from my enjoyment o Very good story, not so great editing. But again, as I mentioned in my review of The Big Bad Wolf, all of these editing issues were not enough to cause me to stop reading or to distract from my enjoyment of the book.

Cadence, the heroine, is a hybrid shifter, half wolf and half ice dragon, though she's only recently started showing signs of being a dragon and losing her inner wolf, which she's had since she was born.

Her dragon training is amusing as could be at times, as is Orion's courting of her. There are a few characters from The Big Bad Wolf that drop in during this book, which of course brings even more humor to the book.

The fact that Orion is a fire dragon and Cadence is an ice dragon brought the action from many different sources. I'd recommend this book to any fans of dragon shifter stories, though this one had some different characteristics to the dragons from what I've seen before. To me,that just added to the story. This can be read as a stand alone book, reading The Big Bad Wolf is not necessary.

If you can get past some editing issues, this might be the books for you!! Apr 19, L M rated it really liked it. What a really great enjoyable fun read. I have read and or own nearly everything she has written over the years and this was up to her usual good standard. We have our usual feisty heroine matched to a typical alpha male who needs to be taught that having a good, loving mate is everything. Cadence is an unusual mix of shifter hybrid. She grew up shifting into a wolf but is now unable to call her wolf anymore and her ice dragon side is g What a really great enjoyable fun read.

She grew up shifting into a wolf but is now unable to call her wolf anymore and her ice dragon side is getting stronger. Cadence is a sassy, smart lovable woman who knows her life is going to go downhill now her ice dragon side is coming out.

Orion is the leader of the fire dragons and is so used to getting his way he does not understand the word no. He has given up on finding love and just wants to have some dragonlings of his own. A misunderstanding at dinner sends Cadence off into trouble. Orion saves her and explains why he behaved as he did. Totally understandable once you know why. Fire and Ice dragons have not mixed due to a problem years earlier. What follows is a lot of fun with sniping fire and ice dragons, meddling mothers and with the obligatory baddie and some good dust ups.

The family interactions were quite good. I really enjoyed this story and hope we see more of these characters. Apr 28, Kym rated it liked it Shelves: electronicromanceseriesshapeshiftersparanormalfantasykindle-unlimited. Because she's fertile, she's supposed to register and mate with a dragon. Her father whom she's never met is deciding who will mate her.

He wants a mate and when he finds out she's a dragon, he decides to pursue her. But she's an ice dragon and what's more, she doesn't know how to shift. There is a lot of conflict about whose mate she will be, and a lot of conflict in general because the two types of dragons don't get on well. The book is well-written and, surprising for an electronic book, no typos. The characters are well developed, and the plot interesting. The dialogue is well-written and at times quite witty.

But it bothered me that Candace didn't even challenge the sexism inherent in the culture. That sexism should have been a source of conflict in the story. Overall, this is a pleasant way to spend a few hours. Apr 25, Kathy Senft rated it it was amazing. Clair Action, love and jealousy and even some good old fashioned feuding Typical Georgette style!

Awesome story Orion is in the market for a mate, he has given up on a love match so he flies into meet Wynonna, owner of the mating game. During his meeting with her she kicks him out of her office He just can not understand why?

He just listed qualities he wanted in the mother of his dragonlings Daisy is worrying about her friend Cadence, she has become withdrawn jumpy even WTH is goin on Daisy is sure all she needs is a mate.

The problems for Orion and Cadence transcend standard troubles, Fire and Ice just doesn't mix, or does it? And then there is the messed up dragon law, thank heavens that Orion is a lawyer by trade? And very very wealthy, and strong! This is a wonderful ride through Dragon policies and fertility issues. They may find the solution for everything or lose it all including Cadence's life and that of their young! Can they bring the Dragon clan together of will the clans destroy each other?

Feb 12, octavia cooper rated it it was amazing. Loved Dragon tales!! This was dragon tales for grownups. I loved the chemistry and heat between Orion and Cadence. I think this is a very good series and can't wait to read the next book. Apr 25, Netta Overhulser rated it it was amazing. Fire and Ice Daisy is worried about her best friend, Cadence, she hasn't been herself lately.

She talks to her Aunt about finding her a mate, so she can settle down. Cadence has been keeping a secret from Daisy, and doesn't know how she'll react when she finds that not only is Cadence a wolf, but she's half Dragon as well.

The rules for dragons are strict, and Cadence doesn't want to be a part of it. Orion is a powerful fire Dragon looking for a fertile female to have his dragonlings. He's given Fire and Ice Daisy is worried about her best friend, Cadence, she hasn't been herself lately. He's given up on love, but goes to a mating service, called the mating game, for assistance. After he's thrown out for being rude, he goes for dinner to attempt to figure out his next step.

Orion meets Cadence and he's immediately attracted to her, but unknown to the troubles they will cause each other. He feels he needs to protect her, so he does.

During this time sparks fly, and truths come out. Their are twists that keep you on your toes, family drama that makes you shake your head, and sheer determination that will make you smile.

This was my first time reading anything by Georgette St.

Clair and overall I enjoyed it. Mostly because it was a hot guy who turns into a dragon. There were a couple of times that it felt like the author started a scene then forgot what it was and started writing something else.

Kind of like starting a scene and then changing one little detail and it felt like the scene was taking place somewhere else entirely. Or writing about one character and putting a different nam This was my first time reading anything by Georgette St. Or writing about one character and putting a different name for the character.

Maybe it was just some minor editing mistakes but it was still a little disconcerting to read. I'm not complaining about the story because I did like it.

I'm not complaining about the writing because this was my first time reading this author. I'm simply stating my opinion. Having stated all of this I will say this: I liked the story of a fire dragon and an ice dragon falling in love even though their clans had an ongoing feud. Dec 30, Sarah rated it it was amazing.

Thanks so much for buying Dating a Dragon! The heel on her new shoe had snapped off, the air conditioning was on the fritz, her very pregnant niece Daisy had just waddled in and needed to see her instantly about some urgent problem, and to top it all off, she'd just thrown a billionaire out of her office.

Orion Garrison. Her richest client ever. She stood in her lobby and regretfully watched him stomp out the door of her office, thudding down the stairs.

His broad back was rigid with anger, head held high. She could practically see the indignation radiating off him, right through his hand-tailored silk Italian suit. Now there was a guy who wasn't used to hearing the word "no". Yes, yes, he wasn't just rich, he was gorgeous. Piercing amber eyes, silky black hair, sensual lips, cheekbones so sharp they could cut through glass. Wynona scowled after him as the door to the street slammed.

French would be 'il est une bite'," Gillian corrected Wynona, with flawless pronunciation and no sense of irony whatsoever. Wynona exchanged an amused glance with Daisy, who was sitting on the couch with her hands folded over her big pregnant tummy. Gillian was a dream of an executive secretary; punctual, highly educated, and relentlessly organized.

But she wouldn't recognize a joke if it bit her in the ass. Daisy glanced at the door. On a scale of one to ten, he's a twelve. I'm mated, not dead, for God's sake. Six months ago, she had arranged the mating between Daisy and Ryker Harrison. Ryker is a keeper. Brought me breakfast in bed this morning before he left for work, as a matter of fact. And also did some other things I won't mention in polite company. I meant Gillian, not you," she added, directing that comment at Wynona.

Then she looked at the door again. There must be some lovelorn lady out there who'd be a good match for him. He had a ridiculous list of demands, and he's in no position to be so picky.

I'm surprised he even came here. They owned most of the gold, silver and opal mines in the state. It's not that easy for dragons to find a fertile mate," Wynona said. As it so happens, I don't even have any dragon females registered here. And I'm not going to look for any, because he's a rude, entitled twat. No point in setting up a match that wouldn't be happy. One or two strong males should be able to pull you to your feet, and realistically, there is no way to fit that type of equipment inside this building anyway.

Shall I call for assistance? I believe the gentlemen in the office down the hall should-" "I got this," Wynona interjected quickly. Gillian was actually about to call for help. Wynona flashed an exasperated look at her niece, grabbed her by the hand, and pulled her to her feet. You know how literally she takes everything. It's part of the joy of visiting you. Get out. I thought my rack grew to a 40 double F cup because I'd prayed to the boobie fairy.

Wait 'til I tell Ryker. All right, down to business. I'm here because we're setting Cadence up on a date. She needs cheering up. I'm swinging by her house in a bit, so I will inform her then. But you should get started now. She seems to prefer guys with dark hair, if that helps you narrow it down. I arrange for shifters to find their life mates.

I don't arrange casual hookups. She's just losing her enthusiasm for everything. The other day I asked her to shift and go for a run with me, and she said she couldn't. I said, okay, maybe tomorrow, and she said no, you don't get it, I literally can't. Then she got up and walked out of the room.

And I've never known her to be moody, either. She wants a mate. We just need to find her the right guy. Not that she doesn't want to. When she comes to visit me and looks at the other families' cubs, she gets this look on her face,,she wants a family.

Heck, if I weren't heterosexual and determined to die single, I'd fix myself up with her. Former best friend. Boy, was I surprised.

Listen, it's not just my gut feeling. I did a little snooping around. At her rebuking tone, Daisy had the good grace to look a little embarrassed.
